Q. How is it free?
A. RentSmart apartment locating is paid a commission out of the apartment's advertising budget. The apartments pay us 50% to 100% of your average monthly rent amount and we pay you a cash rebate from our commission.
Q. How do I Qualify?
A. To qualify for the cash rebate you must have found your new apartment through our service. You must register with the communities that require it, include RentSmart Apartment Locating in the referral section of the guest card, rental application, and or lease agreement, and report your lease to RentSmart in writing prior to your move-in date.
Q. Why RentSmart?
A. RentSmart.com is the first online apartment locating company in Texas. We offer superior technical tools, personal service, and a cash rebate for using our free service.
Q. What if the apartment community is not in the RentSmart database?
A. RentSmart works with virtually every apartment community with more than 100 units in the Dallas, Fort Worth, & Houston Metro areas. If you would like information on an apartment community that you cannot find in our database, contact a RentSmart agent for assistance.
Q. Will I qualify for the cash rebate if I move to a "sister property" that is owned and operated by the same management company as my current community?
A. No, apartments will not pay us if you are moving to a different community that is owned or operated by the same company.
Q. Does using your service affect my rent or move-in special?
A. No. You will receive the same rental rates and move-in specials at no additional cost to you. Often a RentSmart agent will recommend properties that save you hundreds even thousands off of market rent. Our agents monitor rent reductions and move-in specials to save our clients money when using our free service.
